Finance Operating Review

See how AI can help your finance team work more efficiently.

We look at your finance processes, figure out how long each step takes, and then automate one of those steps for you.

We work with your team to see where time is spent and help make those processes better with AI.

We write down each step, estimate how long each one takes, and then build the first automated part.

You see exactly what the work costs

We show you how many hours each part of your finance work takes. This helps you decide what to automate first and lets you see your savings later.

You walk away with a running process

Most reviews just give you a slide deck. With Skills and Agents, you get one of your processes running on your own tools and data.

You keep everything, no matter what

The map, the hours, the ranked list, and the know-how are all yours, whether or not you keep working with us.

How the three weeks go.One team, one decision maker, one process running at the end.

  1. Week 1

    We talk to your team

We sit down with you and everyone one level below you. For each part of the job we ask four things: what it is, who does it, how well it runs today, and how fast it has to get better.

  2. Week 2

We count the hours and pick one

We put a number on what each process costs your team every week. Then we pick the one worth doing first and build it.

  3. Week 3

    We hand it over running

We run it on your real work, in your own tools. Then we sit with the person who owns that work and watch them run it themselves.

What you have at the end

A map of your finance work

Every function, who owns it, how well it runs, and the hours it takes each week.

One process running

Live on your tools and your data, and already handed to the person who owns it. Not a demo.

A ranked list of what comes next

The next five processes worth automating, each with the hours behind it, so you can see what to do next and what it is worth.

Who this is for

A good fit

  • Your finance team is small and everyone wears three hats.
  • The same work comes back every week or every month.
  • You can get us an hour each with the people who do the work.
  • You'd rather have one thing running than a plan for next year.

Not a fit yet

  • You want a strategy document to take to the board.
  • Nobody can name the process that hurts most.
  • The people who do the work are not available to talk.

Questions, answered

Before you start

Is this an audit?

No, and we're careful not to run it like one. Nobody is being graded and nothing goes to HR. We're trying to find where your team's time goes, and that only works if people tell us the honest version of their week.

How much of my team's time does it take?

About an hour each for the people who do the work, in week one. After that we mostly stay out of your way until the handoff in week three.

What does it cost?

A fixed fee for the three weeks, quoted on the first call once we know the size of your team. No hourly billing and no open-ended engagement. If you carry on with us afterward, the fee comes off what you pay next.

Do we need to buy anything first?

If your team already pays for Claude or ChatGPT, you're most of the way there. We'll tell you if anything else is genuinely needed, and we won't pad the list.

What happens after

What if we stop after the three weeks?

Then you stop, and you keep everything. The map, the hours, the ranked list, and the process we built. Skills are readable files, so nothing is locked to us.

Who keeps the process running?

We can. We act as your operations engineer, so keeping it running isn't a role you have to hire for. That part is separate and priced on its own.

Which process do you build first?

The one with the most hours behind it that we can finish inside the three weeks. You see the ranked list before we choose, and you get the final say.

What if the answer is that AI can't help much here?

Then we tell you that, and you'll have the hours to back it up. A short honest answer is worth more to you than a long hopeful one.

Three weeks from now, one of your processes runs itself.

Start with one team. If it works, we keep going. If it doesn't, you keep the map and the hours behind it.
