Startup Skill

A third-party plugin from Ferdinando Bons. It has four skills. startup-design walks an idea through market research, customer interviews, strategy, brand, product, financials, and tests you can run. It saves your progress, so you can pick it up later. startup-competitors researches who you're up against and gives you battle cards and a pricing comparison. startup-positioning helps you decide how to describe your product and which category to compete in. startup-pitch writes investor pitches in several lengths, prepares you for their questions, and can play the investor so you can practice. The last three also work on their own. We didn't write it and haven't reviewed it.

Plugins install through Claude Code’s plugin marketplace. Two commands, no files to place by hand.

    Run this once in Claude Code. It registers the marketplace this plugin installs from (startup-skill), so every plugin in it becomes installable.

    /plugin marketplace add ferdinandobons/startup-skill

    Install the plugin

    Installs this plugin and everything it bundles. Restart Claude Code afterwards so it picks the new skills up.

Ferdinando Bons publishes this plugin from his own startup-skill marketplace. We list it here because founders search for it. We didn’t write it and haven’t reviewed it.

The four skills follow a founder’s path. First you design and test the idea. Then you look closely at your competitors. Then you decide how to position the product against them. Last, you write the pitch.

You don’t have to use all four. The competitors, positioning, and pitch skills work on their own, and they pick up earlier work if they find it in your project folder.

The install command follows Ferdinando’s live marketplace file, so what you install can change after we list it. The link to the marketplace file on this page points to the version we looked at.
